LET’S TRY RoussanNe
Roussanne is a white grape, from Montélimar, but you can find this grape if you travel through Savoie, Languedoc and Roussillon.
This grape gives fine and complex wipnes, and brings floral aromas. With little berries, spherical, white and gold skin, this grape is a little juicy. With a great acidity, Roussane is really appreciated during its youth, often before it becomes closed and to re-open after 5 to 8 years old and to develop a strong aromatic.
This grape needs to be on limestone and stony soil. Often used with Marsanne grape, it is really appreciated by winemakers in the Northern Rhone Valley (Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Saint Joseph) and even in Provence.
It brings an aromatic extra and an elegancy where these wines wouldn’t have without it…
